THE ESTATE — Affairs in Order OS Brain

For getting your affairs in order without it becoming a project you abandon. One orchestrator plus ten specialists that map what you own and where it lives, find the accounts nobody else could locate, and produce a file that works for the person who has to use it.

What makes it different

The failure mode is not the absence of a will. It is that the will exists and nobody can find the pension, the crypto, the old account from a previous employer, or the subscription still charging a dead card. The mapping script takes your assets, accounts and access methods and returns a discoverability score per item — whether someone who knew you well but not your systems could actually locate it. Anything scoring low is functionally lost, whatever any document says about it. It is an uncomfortable exercise and it takes an afternoon.

It ships working code, not just prompts estate_map.py

Maps every asset and account against how it would be discovered, scores each on whether someone else could locate it without you, and lists the items that are functionally invisible regardless of what any document says about them. Every OS Brain in this drop carries its own executable component, so the judgement calls stay with you and the arithmetic stops being a matter of opinion. Runs anywhere Python runs, and the specialists still work on their own if you never open it.

Say it in plain words — it works out the rest

"I should sort this out"→ full pipeline, map first
"Where do I even start?"→ 01 · list before you decide anything
"I hold crypto"→ 05 · the hardest category by far
"Who should I tell?"→ 08 · fewer people than you think
"My parents need to do this"→ 09 · how to raise it

Where it refuses to skip ahead

  • No plan before the inventory — you cannot direct what you have not listed.
  • Discoverability is the test, not ownership — an asset nobody can find is an asset nobody inherits.
  • Never write credentials into a document — use a password manager with proper emergency access, every time.
  • Beneficiary designations often override wills — check them directly rather than assuming the will covers it.

The habit it is really selling: one afternoon, then thirty minutes a year to check what changed. Single-seat license. This is an organisational tool and explicitly not legal, tax or financial advice — wills, trusts, inheritance tax and succession law vary enormously by jurisdiction and by family circumstance, and drafting or amending a will needs a qualified professional. What this does is get you to that appointment with everything already listed, which makes it shorter and cheaper.
