Good to know
- A balance transfer fee can cost more than it saves on a small balance. It checks.
- Store cards with deferred interest have a hard deadline. It plans for it first.
- Hardship plans can lower interest but may close the card. It tells you before you call.
- If the sums show you cannot keep up, it points you to free debt advice.
